Joselyn Porciuncula

I am a certified spa practitioner, currently providing bodywork and massage at the Salt Spring Healing Centre, also known as the old Midwife Building in Ganges. I have operated my own massage practice, and have worked in spas and onsite locations such as workplaces, home, and hospital and care facilities. I am also a certified doula who has supported young families, as well as those facing end of life.

In my practice, I strive to get right to the heart of what my clients need and provide relief. I foster a sense of awareness and create a healing connection. After each session, my clients feel met, relaxed, aligned, and better connected to themselves. The style I am trained to provide is Deep Flow massage, which includes a complementary mix of Swedish, deep tissue, pressure points, breathwork, stretching, and joint release to facilitate balance within the body.

I am an alumna of many educational institutions, such as Doula Canada, Douglas College, Vancouver School of Bodywork Massage, Liddle Kidz, Western Washington University, and Harvard University. Here on Salt Spring Island, I enjoy spending time in the community and in nature with my family, coaching kids, and hanging out with our rescue dog, and my three alpacas.

Since I believe massage is essential to one’s health and wellbeing, I want my offerings to be straightforward and simple. No added gratuities are accepted. All current client doula families receive massage at a discount. I am also open to trades for the right fit.
